Ghana Center for Democratic Development – 2023 National Menstrual Hygiene Day Event

Our Founder, Wendy Atswei Laryea was honoured once again to have moderated the commemoration of the 2023 National Menstrual Hygiene Day event.

Some highlights from the event were:

    • The need to step up investments in Menstrual Health and Hygiene.
    • Stakeholders calling for more action in the implementation of action points other than just talk.
    • The scrapping of period tax in Ghana and the accessibility of free pads for girls.
    • Stakeholders tasking government to show more commitment and leading the charge to support Menstrual Health and Hygiene Management in Ghana.
